The Scoop on Lollapalooza?

Official word on the Lollapalooza lineup doesn't come out until next Tuesday. Unconfirmed, but generally agreed-upon rumors are out there about Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails. Not-quite-as-agreed-upon rumors exist for Wilco and Rage Against the Machine.

Last.fm has the show listed in their "Events" section and names plenty of acts. I have no idea how they got this information or who let them publish it or if it's just fans adding rumor-based conjecture. But certain aspects appear credible. The aforementioned rumored bands are included, as is Yeasayer, which we heard on good authority was involved in a bidding war between Lolla and Pitchfork. Pitchfork has released their lineup and Yeasayer isn't on it. So at the risk of putting out some faulty info, I'm going to go ahead and declare this of "probable" accuracy, bearing in mind that I have no idea how these things get put together. The list as it stands now:

  • Radiohead
  • Nine Inch Nails
  • Rage Against the Machine
  • Wilco
  • Bloc Party
  • Flogging Molly
  • CSS
  • Gogol Bordello
  • Louis XIV
  • Cansei de Ser Sexy
  • The John Butler Trio
  • Black Lips
  • MGMT
  • Yeasayer
  • Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings
  • Dierks Bentley
  • Ryhmefest
  • Does It Offend You, Yeah?
  • Nicole Atkins & The Sea
  • Noah and the Whale
  • Magic Wands
  • Peter DiStefano (likely on the kids stage again)
Obviously this is only about 10% of the total acts. Please don't hold us to any of this. They could all just be further rumors. We'll find out for sure on Monday.

By the way, the "early bird" $175 tickets are all gone. Get your "advance" $190 tickets before they climb to the "regular" price of $205. Seriously, it's Radiohead and NIN. You're going. Get your tickets.
